Transnational Project Meeting
Between 27th - 29th June 2018, 1st Gymnasium of Cholargos, Greece was a host to the representatives of all the partner schools participating in the Erasmus+ Project Young Enterprising Europeans, funded by the European Union.
Let us remind you that the most important goal of the two-year project, which is coordinated by the Polish school, was to improve students' entrepreneurial skills and improving their digital and language skills.
The main topic of the second transnational project meeting was the summary and evaluation of undertaken activities. The results of the evaluation carried out among the project participants were presented, in addition, the teachers exchanged their comments and impressions about the benefits for pupils, teachers and schools resulting from the implemented activities. The final product of the project was also presented - 'Young Enterprising Europeans - A Guide', which was developed by all the partner schools.
We have no doubts that the implementation of such a project brings only benefits. Scheduled activities have developed students' business skills, by cooperating and communicating in English in international teams, the students learned to be active and open in relations with others. The teachers had the opportunity to exchange their experience and good practices between their colleagues from the partner schools. Working together also improves our methodical, didactic and educational skills, opens us to new ideas, inspires and motivates us. We also have no doubt that coordinating and implementation of an international project is a very time-consuming and often demanding sacrifices undertaking, however, it brings a lot of satisfaction and contentment.
After working together on a project at the Greek school, we also had the opportunity to visit the atmospheric Island of Poros and admire its beauty. Strolling around the city, you can see there many interesting, typically Greek alleys and small squares. Small houses with balconies and high stairs leading to the hills look beautiful in the sun. We also saw the Orthodox monastery of Osios Lukas located on the slopes of the Helikon mountain massif, the archaeological site of Delphi, considered one of the greatest treasures of Greek culture and the small harbor mystic of Galaxidi on the north coast of the Corinthian Gulf.
The meeting in Athens also provided us with many emotions. During two years of working together, we became friends with our European colleagues and we are sure that the memories of the actions taken together will remain with us for a long time.
