Transnational Project Meeting
Between October 19th -21st 2016, Gimnazjum nr 1 im. Króla Bolesława Chrobrego w Łęcznej, Poland was a host to representatives from all the partner schools participating in the Erasmus+ Project Young Enterprising Europeans, which included a total of 8 teachers from Croatia, Greece, Slovenia and Italy. After this great meeting, during which all the key project activities were discussed and planned, we are excited to continue this cooperation for the two following years.

Wednesday was the first day of the visit. After a warm welcome by the school headteacher Mrs Julianna Bednarska and the school deputy teacher Mrs Hanna Lipińska-Stopa the visitors and the representatives of the host school went to the Town Hall where they met with the Mayor of Łeczna Mr Teodor Kosiarski and the Deputy Mayor Mr Leszek Włodarski. During the meeting, the mayor of the town introduced the guests to the history of the town and was delighted to answer the questions concerning his hometown.
After this, the guests were invited to join the students in the school gymnasium where all the delegations of the partner schools were officially welcomed. A crowd of students from the first grades watched presentations of the countries, cities and partner schools and carefully listened to interesting lectures in English.
In the afternoon, the invited guests attended a meeting with students’ parents and the teaching staff of Gimnazjum nr 1 w Łęcznej, during which they presented their schools and regions they live in. They had an opportunity to get to know the teachers from the partner countries, to talk about the project and exchange experiences.

The second day of the transnational project meeting was devoted to the work on the project. During the six-hour meeting the coordinator of the project Mrs Małgorzata Fryt presented the assessment of the project made by experts, the rules of the project, and recruitment criteria of students for mobilities were established, we clarified the responsibilities of the partner schools and fixed the project activities. What is more, we discussed the principles of the project financing, promoting and responsibilities related to evaluation and dissemination of the project. We discussed the issues concerning Europass mobility, eTwinning, the project website and set the date of the first mobility in Italy. An important point of the meeting was the the final of the logo design competition. After some deliberation, the winning work of a student from Croatia became the official logo of our project Young Enterprising Europeans. Then, under the supervision of teachers, the visitors went on a tour of the school and they were really impressed by the school building.

In the morning, the headteacher Mrs Julianna Bednarska, the deputy teacher Mrs Hanna Lipinska-Stopa and the project coordinator Mrs Małgorzata Fryt thanked the guests for their stay in Łeczna, presented certificates of participation and small souvenirs. After that, all the guests and the representatives of the Polish teaching staff went on a sightseeing tour of Lublin. We listened to the historical commentary and saw the most important historical buildings in Lublin, including the Old Town, Chapel of the Holy Trinity, Lublin Underground Route and of course the Lublin Castle.
The transnational project meeting allowed the organizations involved in the project to discuss and plan all the activities and issues related to the project and, above all, was an opportunity to meet personally the project partners. We are looking forward to meeting each other during the short-term exchanges of groups of students that will be held in Italy, Croatia, Greece, Slovenia and Poland.
